After a critically acclaimed stand-out debut on Mock The Week (BBC), Ria has quickly become a household name seen regularly on shows such as Have I Got News For You (BBC) and Late Night Mash (DAVE). A hugely admired act on the UK comedy circuit, this multi-award-winning artist commands respect from the moment she walks onstage and delivers with natural ease, energy and fierceness.
2023 sees Ria embark on her first major UK Tour. In this preview for her highly anticipated debut tour show Ria addresses coming out of the pandemic, but also divorce, the new normal, dating in a digital world, motherhood, and what it really means to be a woman today.
Ria is not just the only Filipina comedian in British stand-up, she also has a BSc in Experimental Pathology, an MSc in Forensic Science, and a PhD in Virology under her belt, and with experience working in IT Forensics at the Serious Fraud Office, it’s not only Ria’s comedy that’s highly intelligent.
Ria is also passionate about being neurodivergent, and increasingly visibility of neurodivergent talent.
